Location
Thirteen European cities have direct flights to La Rochelle – Ile de Ré airport, including six in the UK from where the flight time is around 90 minutes.
It is a short drive over the bridge from La Rochelle airport (there is a toll of 16 € in high season - and watch the speed limit please, 90 km!) and the picturesque village of La Flotte is only a 10-minute drive from the bridge.
The island and has more than 60 miles (100 km) of dedicated cycle paths and a free shuttle bus travels between the 10 villages on the island so visitors don’t need a car.
